libgutenprint2 software package provides runtime for the Gutenprint printer driver library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgutenprint2
libgutenprint2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgutenprint2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgutenprint2 *
You will get with libgutenprint2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
